A new view of risk is required A host of recent events in the Arab world, combined with global economic recession and black swan events that shook the corporate world, have helped escalate risk assessment and mitigation to the top of the corporate agenda. Senior executives as well as directors are now demanding better information and analytics to predict consequences of unfavorable events and better preparedness. In the years to come, corporate attitudes and responsiveness to risk will change in fundamental ways. Indeed, building a “risk-resilient enterprise” will become the next big challenge for senior managers. Building a riskresilient enterprise requires a change in organizational culture.
