Even if it’s something that’s been repeated far too often, it's still a fact that a dream of many architects and designers is to design their own house, a dream made even more complete when the house also includes their studio and workshop. The interesting thing about this scenario is the ambiguous relationship between the living and working spaces – how would the two connect together? What if one day there was a need to expand either of the spaces, would the two still be able to work together? In theory, flexibility would appear to be the key issue for the functional layout, while in practice, it would be about how the different architectural elements would be able to accommodate future changes.
