The first appeals trial for manager Mr. Park (27), who was driving the van that crashed and killed two Ladies' Code members, took place on March 25 at the Suwon District Court. Back on September 3, he was speeding at 135.7 kmh (~ 85 mph) when he should have been going at 80 kmh (~ 50 mph) on a highway with a 100 kmh (~ 62 mph) speed limit due to the rainy conditions.

The prosecutor said on this day, "I appealed because I judged the sentence against Mr. Park to be light," whereas Mr. Park's side stated, "We are appealing because we find the assessment of his offense severe."
Mr. Park stated in his defense that he worked hard in order to reach a favorable agreement with the bereaved families; meanwhile, his mother will be appearing in court on the witness stand at the next trial.
What are your thoughts? Is the sentence of one year and two months too severe or light?
