There are a number of limitations to this study. First, the data presented are based on subjective parental report. Future studies should include a more objec-tive measure of sleep, such as actigraphy. Second, there was participant attrition,
which may have affected the generalizability of the longitudinal results. Finally, due to power constraints, our study did not investigate infants at specific ages (e.g. 6 months old and 9 months old). Future longitudinal studies should exam-ine infants at specific ages over time in order to determine approximate age expectations for resolution of sleep disruptions associated with breastfeeding
