comparisons of differences between pre-test and post-test results, were used. The pre-test was
the test after just watching the movie without subtitles, while the pretest was conduct after
watching the subtitled movie. Therefore, improvements were spotted when the post-test
results were higher than the pre-test results. However, the reliability of the study as also
constrained by the movie itself, so the researcher had to assure beforehand that none of
students had watched the selected movie already, or else it would have affected the results of
the study.
