The selection of appropriate volume of extraction and dispersive
solvent is important to achieve high extraction efficiency, using the
lowest volume of these solvents. Initially, the volume of methanol as
dispersive solvent (from 300 to 1100 μL for Cu and from 300 to
1000 μL for Fe), keeping constant the volume of 1,2-dichlorobenzene
(100 μL) as extraction solvent was evaluated. Thus, the volume of dispersive
solvent for Cu and Fe determination by F AAS was evaluated
using 10 mL of sample (with suitable dilution). The suitable volumes
