a. This has been a wonderful month of reaping the fruit of spending more than a year learning Thai and investing into a wide variety of relationships in our neighborhood and throughout the city of Chiang Mai. This month we saw three of our main spheres of relationships intersect in natural and beautiful ways – Wycliffe Thai Foundation (where we work), our local Thai community (where we live), and the River of Life Church (the Thai church where we fellowship). The common ground has become the Pure Sky Steamed Chicken noodle restaurant. It is here we first became friends with Khun Ae, the noodle shop owner. It is here at Pure Sky Steamed Chicken we introduced Khun Ae to Ajan Kae, the pastor of our local church. Agan Kae has begun to bring some of the young church members here to encourage, disciple and train them. It is here at Pure Sky Steamed Chicken we introduced Ajan Tharawat, the director of Wycliffe Thai Foundation to Khun Ae, the noodle shop owner. With Khun Ae’s blessing, Wycliffe Thai Foundation held their first “off-site” community One Story Bible training session in his restaurant and Ae eagerly invited them to return. It is here at Pure Sky Steamed Chicken that the wife of pastor Ajan Kae hopes to join these Wycliffe Thai One Story training sessions so she can train others in her church to share the Good News of God’s Word more effectively in their own communities.
