3above. Primarily, methanol undergo dehydration into dimethyl
ether. Whereas in the secondary stages, the equilibrium mixture
produces light olefins that are susceptible for conversion to higher
hydrocarbon products (paraffins and aromatics or even the higher
olefins). It could be established that, the oxides doped catalysts
favor coupling and cyclization reactions. The mechanism of coke
deposition during the MTG reaction is similarly dependent on the
zeolite topology
