Has anybody out here installed an automatic chlorine feeder on the cold water in line on their hot water heater? I am trying to rid the "rotten egg" smell from my hot water. I have a well and have a brand new hot water heater. I'm going to install a different anode which supposedly will help some, but everything I've found (including a tech bulletin from Ruud/Rheem) mentions the chlorine feeder.
I also can't seem to find an actual feeder unit on the web. Dealer is obviously closed until monday. Any input welcome.
