The reasons, most likely, for a greater use of problem-focused coping among the caregivers were related to: the financial accessibility of healthcare providers, by the persons with dementia, which provided the caregivers with information about caregiving; and, the high educational level of the caregivers (n =125 or 55.3% had a bachelor’s degree or higher), which could have facilitated their ability to seek out and access available resources related to caregiving.
