The ACRO-QOL was recently
developed by Webb et al. (6) and is a disease-specific questionnaire that
comprises 22 items found to be of importance from semistructured
interviews with patients, expert opinions, and data derived from literature.
Responses are given as the frequency of occurrence or degree of
agreement on a five-point scale. The questionnaire comprises two different
scales, a physical performance scale with eight items and a psychological
well-being scale with 14 items. The psychological well-being
scale is further subdivided into items related to appearance and personal
relations, comprising seven items each. Parameters are expressed as
percentage, from 0 (very bad) to 100 (very good). No reference values
are provided
