The minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) was determined by using the two-fold broth dilution method [7]. Starting from a chemical agent solution, serial dilutions were prepared in TSB inoculated with the test bacterial populations between 1.2 and 3.0 × 106 CFU/mL. The MIC was identified as having the lowest concentration of the chemical agent, which resulted in the confirmed inhibition of the growth of the tested microorganism, after 24 h of optimum incubation conditions. The chemical agent solutions, started concentrations and the pH values employed are shown in Table 03.
