On 17 August 2015, a bombing took place inside the Erawan Shrine at the Ratchaprasong intersection in Pathum Wan District, Bangkok, Thailand,[2][3] killing 20 people and injuring 125.[1] Surveillance footage showed a suspect leaving a backpack at the scene shortly before the explosion. As of 30 August 2015, the suspect in the surveillance footage had not been arrested and no group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
