After the service-learning event, the author
collected survey forms from the 19 future
teachers. There were 20 future teachers
in the class but one could not attend the service-learning
activity at the elementary
school. Future teachers got one day to reflect
on the service-learning activity. The survey
consisted of questions about their experience
in the service-learning activity, their opinion
about in-class support for the activity, any
interesting observations, their opinion on the
impact of the service-learning activity and
anything new that they learned from the elementary
students. The survey questionnaire
is shown in Appendix C. Also, data was collected
in the form of reports and notes (described
earlier) from future teachers about
the service-learning activity.
