Previously, importers went through the Singaporean office when sourcing Aston Martin cars for Thai customers
Sources said a formal announcement appears imminent, and this will fortify MGC's business, which already includes import rights for Rolls-Royce, dealerships for the BMW and Mini marques and various car-tuning, car-rental and used-car operations.
The time is ripe for MGC to acquire selling rights for Aston Martin, as the model line-up was just updated in England a few months ago, said the sources.
Kicking off the range is the all-new Vanquish coupe and Volante convertible.
Others that have been refreshed include the DB9 and Vantage sports cars and the four-door Rapide S.
Recent news that Aston Martin will access AMG technical resources for their future cars via a pending deal with Germany's Daimler AG have also added optimism to MGC's long-term commitment for the brand in Thailand.
AMG is Daimler's wholly owned high-performance car unit for Mercedes-Benz-branded automobiles.
