Andayani (2008) research results, in testing of antioxidant activity using DPPH method to extract methanol tomatoes obtained IC 50 of 44.06 mg / ml while vitamin C antioxidant activity is 3.63 mg / ml, it means to inhibit 50% of radical compounds required amount of vitamin C lower than tomato extract. Further supported by Blouis (1958) statement, tomato extracts and this vitamin C has strong activity of vitamin C because it has IC 50 of less than 200 mg / ml.
