US military ship arrives
TRANSPORT ASSISTANCE: The US Military High Speed Vessel WestPacExpress has arrived at Sattahip aftera five-day
voyage fromOkinawa, Japan, bearing-supplies and personnel to support US tsunami relief efforts in Southeast Asia.
The vessel can transport many times more cargo than a standard cargo plane such as a C-130.
More than 13,000 US marines, sailors, airmen, soldiers and coast guardsmen with Combined Support Force 536 are helping tsunami victims as part ofthe US relief effort.
