We were concerned to learn that you found 2 containers of Nutmeg Oil Indonesian IN11015 batch No. 708143 to be damaged on arrival. Please accept our apologies for this incident.
On examination of the photographs the containers had a distorted shape and the labels were wrinkled. We believe the damage highlighted is actually a term known as “paneling” of the container. Paneling occurs when the pressure inside a plastic container becomes less than the ambient air pressure outside during storage and transport. This causes the walls of the container to partially collapse inward. The result is an aesthetically unappealing product package with a distorted shape and puckered or wrinkled label.
The details of this complaint have been brought to the attention of the Purchasing Manager and alternative HDPE containers with a multilayer barrier are being evaluated for this product.
I trust you find the above to be a satisfactory explanation and corrective action plan, please contact me if you require more information.
