• At the normal operating level of 98 m MSL, the backflow effects of the Project will reach Tana Rapids in the Mun River in Thailand. The rapids will be submerged during the dry season.
• Closure of the tributary rivers proposed in the feasibility study report should be avoided. The proposed flood protection approach and designs will need to be reviewed and revised taking into account the new findings on the backflow effects.
• The project area as defined in the feasibility study report covers about __ ha of the provincial preserved forest. To avoid the forestry impact, this specific forest area needs to be excluded. The use of this forest patch for project construction is not clear.
• Visual pollution will not be an issue.
