As for the cleaning frequency for drinking water equipment, among schools above senior high
school level, 52% clean their equipment every
month and 38% clean their equipment every half
a year
Among the 42 schools, only 12
schools clean the drinking water equipment within
1 month after the previous cleaning. Among the
12 schools, one school failed to meet the standard
for microbe content; thus, the unqualified rate is
8.3%. Sixteen schools adopt a cleaning frequency
shorter than 3 months. Among them, one school
failed to meet the standard for microbe content;
thus, the unqualified rate is 6.3%.
Among schools under junior high school
level, most of them clean their equipment every
3 months (67%) and 29% clean their equipment
every half a year.
An investigation is also conducted to check the time for replacement of filter.
Thirty-two schools replace their filter shorter than
1 month, and only one of them produces a microbe
content higher than the standard value, indicating
an unqualified rate of 3.1%.
