Once upon a time, there was a couple who were very poor. They had only one cloth to wear. When the husband had an errand to do in town, his wife had to give him her cloth which she was wearing, and then she would hide herself within the hole which was their residence. And whenever the wife needed to go outside, the husband took off the cloth and gave it to her and then hid himself in the hole.
The two didn’t have any wealth at all. They had no farm to grow rice. On the other hand, other villagers had a lot of paddy fields. But both of them never gave up inspiretheir awful fate. They remained diligent and were more hard-working.
One day the wife persuaded the husband into growing rice in the wallow where the buffalos lay. The woman was always making a vow for the rain ,to make her field flourishing.
In paradise, the god heard the woman’s prayers. The god felt worried about this ,hence, he evoked the sky to rain. Now the woman’s field became fertile.
Later there was a white horse whose owner was god, it was down on earth. The white horse was hungry and was looking for something to eat and suddenly saw that there was this beautiful green rice field. It ate up the whole rice. When the woman came to her field, her tears ran down her face, she cried sorrowfully.
The god seemed anxious ,so he got down and asked the woman “What’s wrong with you?” “Why were you crying?”
She answered “ There was a white horse that ate all my beloved paddy” When the god saw the white horse, he suddenly knew that it was his. He ordered it to spew up the rice for proof. It vomited and the rice fell off from its mouth. So god chanted and made the paddy field to rise up again and he told the horse to stay with her and help her when she had any trouble.
Afterwards the farm became golden and glittering, their field gave them many gold spikes which made the husband and his wife very glad, they helped each other harvested their goldpaddy. They sold some rice to buy some new clothes andfood, and also built an elegant house.
Now their lives were better than the past and they had the white horse as a servant. Both of them were rich, but they did not forget the hardship they had. They liked making merit and donated to the poor. They always assisted others who were miserable. For the white horse, it was given love and was looked after very well as if it was their child. The family lived happily forever.
