Essential Duties:
1. Formulate and/or recommend necessary curriculum changes.
2. Oversee and certify annual equipment inventories.
3. Originate or initial material and supply requests for the program.
4. Recommend equipment requests for the programs.
5. Recommend part-time instructors required for the programs.
6. Evaluate part-time faculty used in the programs as assigned.
7. Serve as a spokesperson and advocate for the programs.
8. Insure that the programs have viable advisory committees and meet with the committees on a regular basis as dictated by the program needs and College policy.
9. Program advertisement and recruitment not typically handled by student services.
10. Prepare and submit the instructional schedules including the assignment of instructors for specific classes.
11. Develop and oversee the development of course documents for the programs. All courses must be kept current and should be reviewed annually.
12. Formulate short and long-range goals for the continuing improvement or growth of the programs. Each goal should have an attainment strategy.
13. Work in accordance with College adopted evaluation process to assess the programs to ensure the needs of the College and the community are being met.
14. Conduct and/or assist in periodic safety inspections within the programs’ facilities to identify and correct potential hazards. Also submit any necessary requests for repairs or maintenance.
15. Prepare a recommended budget for programs required travel, materials and supplies, and repairs.
16. Supervise work-study students and/or lab assistants as assigned.
17. Perform other departmental and/or College-wide duties at the discretion of the appointed supervisor.
