People Footwear™ is the latest venture of Canadian entrepreneurs Damian Van Zyll De Jong and
Matt Penner, the original founders of Native Shoes. Simplified construction, lightweight materials,
supreme comfort, and timeless style - People Footwear offers classic casual footwear re-imagined
for the future.
What We Sell
People Footwear™’s SS15 offering consists of a collection of four styles of warm weather casual
unisex footwear - The Phillips, Stanley, Senna, and Lennon. People™ products will be marketed as
a more comfortable, better performing, and contemporary looking alternative to existing casual
footwear. Boots and wet weather models will be introduced for FW15. In the coming year the brand
will also be launching a dedicated line for women, as well as for Kids.
Who We Sell To
The target market for People™ is young adults ages 18 to 40. This demographic is highly connected
via the Internet and social media and influenced by artists, celebrities, and fashion trends.
People™ will reach its target customers through online and print exposure via its New York based
PR agency which in turn will drive customers to the company’s website. To further this effort, the
company and its PR partner will seed product to influential musicians, artists, and celebrities and
seek out promotional opportunities to collaborate with key retailers and complementary brands.
