and true density of the brow rice had not statistically significant
correlations between the loss of Se during milling process. This
suggests that the brown rice with higher length, aspect ratio and
porosity has a high potentiality for the loss of Se when producing
white rice from brown rice. Consequently, the physical properties
are important factors for selecting and breeding new cultivars with
high Se in rice production. For the cultivars with higher values of
length, aspect ration and porosity, the milling duration should be
shorter to reduce the loss of Se.
