Miniemulsion polymerization has gained an increased interest
due to its capability to synthesize polymers owing a high molecular
weight, low viscosity and some other special characteristics [17]. In
miniemulsion polymerization, the use of surfactants and costabilizers
is necessary in order to generate monomer droplet
with a diameter interval ranging from 50 to 500 nm under high
shear rate [18]. In the dispersion phase, co-stabilizers help stabilizing
the monomer droplets via precluding Ostwald ripening, and
all the monomer droplets are transformed to polymer particles
without later nucleation.
