4. Experimental evaluation
To investigate the feasibility and performance of the proposed
architecture, we performed the evaluation process by dividing it
into three main scenarios to recall the research objectives: first,
to show the practical investigation of smart farming concepts in
EVAP farms with the integration of multi-sensing capabilities for
mobility and manageability, and the usage of mobile phone integration
as well as sensor motes with an external controller; second,
to illustrate the performance of power consumption usage, especially
based on the image transmission logics; and finally, to demonstrate
the efficiency of population density interpretation via
image processing techniques. It should be noted that for energy
consumption of multi-hop WSNs, the performance is similar to
that of the experimental result in the previous work (So-In et al.,
2013), and therefore, the focus here is on the high data transmission
costs for image
