According to our conversation over the phone, followed standard of corrosion test referenced a test specimen 25 by 50 mm (1 by 2 in.) is recommended as a standard size and the proportion of end-grain surface to specimen surface should be kept as small as possible given the limitations of specimen sizes.
After preparation of the standards next step is to take the test piece weighed. Once weighed, the weights of the test piece over a range of scales (weighing scale had capacity range 0~310g.). So it may have to reduce the size of the specimen. Please consider that we can reduce the size of the specimen thickness or width of the material or not.
