We strive to retain as many as possible major elements of the IS success model. In
transforming the model to the KM context, some of the IS-specific meanings of its
components need to evolve. One needs to recognize that there are two conceptual
differences in making the transition: one is the move from information to knowledge
and the other is from a single information system to KM system implementation. Both
of these differences lead to changes in the characterization of the constructs involved,
as well as the relationships between them in a success model.
