1. Explore new environmental compliance requirements and communicate them to all relevant business units. Demonstrate orally and in writing the right way of complying with environmental compliance requirements.
2. Make sure that the company complies with environmental compliance requirements and has environmental compliance procedures in place.
3. Develop environmental management processes and procedures in all relevant areas or works, which reflect the environmental compliance requirements.
4. Establish and operate communication channels for employees to report non-compliance cases or to answer questions about the environmental compliance requirements.
5. Investigate incidents a) reported through the communication channels, b) reported by people and communities, and c) detected through other environmental compliance checks or audits, and solve the incident or recommend corrective action.
6. Maintain inventories of hazardous materials to make sure that the materials are handled, disposed and transported properly and compliance with compliance requirements.
7. Gather and report the status of environmental management issues and information to management.
8. Coordinate environmental compliance activities and reporting from business units and regulators.
