Kris held Tao's hand while Tao's contractions got faster and hurt more.
"It's going to be okay Tao." Kris said.
"I know this hurts so bad." Tao cried.
The doctor walked in with an epidural pouch. "Want some epidural Tao?" He asked
Tao took a few more deep breaths before answering. "No. I'll do this naturally."
Kris's eyes widened. "Are you sure dear?"
"Yes." Tao said. "I'm strong I don't need it." Kris gripped Tao's hand.
"Okay, since you insist." Kris said. The doctor placed the epidural down by his side then checked Tao's dilation.
"You've got some more time just in case." The doctor said. Still Tao refused. Kris rubbed his husband's belly. Their baby moved around in Tao's tummy.
"I can't believe we get to meet our little boy today!" Kris cried. "I can't wait the excitement is killing me!" He kissed Tao's forehead.
"He'll be out soon. Hopefully very soon." Tao breathed.
