3.1. Identification of cDNA of GTH subunits
The GTHα cDNA contained 354 nucleotides, including an open reading frame (ORF) that was predicted to encode a protein of 117 amino acids. The FSHβ cDNA consisted of 360 nucleotides, including an ORF that was predicted to encode a protein of 119 amino acids. The LHβ cDNA contained 420 nucleotides, including an ORF that was predicted to encode a protein of 139 amino acids. The three GTH subunits contained cysteine residues and a highly conserved N-linked glycosylation site (Fig. 1).
