Vacation
Every employee who has been confirmed in his or her service with the Company shall be granted paid annual leave by the Company. The number of days of annual leave
depends on the length of the employee’s service and shall be as follows:

Note: For filed operation staff, if the stipulated filed break exceeds the employee’s weekly holiday’s entitlement, the amount of off days exceeded will count against the employee vacation leave entitlement.
Sick Leave
Where no hospitalization is necessary, every employee shall, on production of a medical certificate issued by a certified medical doctor be entitled to thirty (30) working days of paid sick leave in any calendar year
Employee who take sick leave up to 30 days with no hospitalization required, the Company may terminate the employment contract due to be considered as inefficiency unless it is occupational sick leave.
1. Where hospitalization is necessary, an employee shall, on recommendation of the Company’s doctor or a government medical officer or a registered medical
practitioner, be granted up to sixty (60) calendar days paid hospitalization leave (including the number of paid sick leave)
2. Sick leave and Hospitalization leave are non-accumulative from year to year.
3. An employee on sick leave shall immediately inform his/her supervisor of the absence but not later than the end of the first work day of absence, otherwise the
employee is deemed to be absent from work without prior consent.
4. No employee shall be entitled to pay sick leave on a rest day or on a public holiday.
For sick leave of 3 working days or more, employee must attach a certificate that certify employee to have sick leave from a first class physician or an official
clinic. In some case, the Company may request employee who have sick leave least than 3 working days to produce the sick leave certificate from a first class
physician upon the Company’s expense.
Compassionate Leave
1. The Company shall grant to all employees (probationary and confirmed) paid compassionate leave in any one of the following circumstances:
i. death of a member ) 3 consecutive working
of immediate family ) days commencing
) from the day of death
ii. birth of the ) 2 working days
employee’s child ) commencing from the
(only for male ) day of birth
employees)
iii. Critical illness* of ) 1 working day/calendar
Immediate family ) year/immediate family
) member.
*(Critical illness shall be defined as being limited to those persons classified under the “Dangerously Ill List (DIL)” of a registered hospital).
2. An employee shall normally obtain prior permission of the Company before taking any such leave but, where this is not possible in the circumstances, the employee
shall inform his supervisor at the earliest available opportunity of the reasons for such absence.
3. For the purpose of this clause, the employee’s immediate family means his spouse, children, parents, parents-in-law, grandparents, brothers and sisters.
4. Any employee requesting compassionate leave is required by the Management to produce evidence that the leave is needed on bona-fide grounds, If it is
subsequently found that such leave has been obtained by a misrepresentation of facts, then the employee concerned shall be liable for disciplinary action by the
Management.
If an employee is working in petroleum and gas field, he/she will receive travelling days in addition to the stipulated compassionate leave entitlement.
Marriage Leave
The Company shall grant three (3) working days leave with full pay to employees with one (1) to five (5) years of service, and five (5) working days leave with full pay to
employees with six (6) years or more service, on the occasion of an employee’s first marriage provided that the employee’s first marriage is contracted whilst he/she is
employed in the Company and properly authenticated certificate of such marriage shall be provided by the employee. To be eligible, employee must be confirmed in
his/her employment.
Leave of Absence Without Pay
1. Leave of absence without pay may be granted for a maximum of two (2) weeks provided that both Company work requirements permit and that the reason for the
request is acceptable to the Company.
2. If due to circumstances beyond his / her control, the employee can not return to work on the due date, he should apply to the Company for an extension of leave of
absence. In this situation, the Employee may be required to provide written proof to substantiate the delay. Failure to produce satisfactory proof could result in
disciplinary action.
3. The immediate supervisor or manager must approve leave of absence without pay.
4. Any employee who absents himself/herself from work without good cause and prior consent of the Management shall be regarded as having committed the offence of
unauthorised absence and is liable for salary deduction and disciplinary action, which may lead to termination.
Maternity Leave
1. Female employees who are pregnant shall be granted three (3) months maternity leave out of which 45 days are paid.
2. Maternity leave will only be granted after the twenty-eighth (28th) week of pregnancy. Where feasible, application for maternity leave shall be made not less than two
(2) weeks prior to the desired date of maternity leave commencement. Irrespective of the actual date of confinement, not more than forty-five (45) days paid leave will be
allowed in respect of any one confinement.
3. Any absence from work as a result of miscarriage, still –birth, abortion, or any other illness associated with pregnancy during the first twenty-eight (28th) week of
pregnancy shall be deemed as normal sick leave.
Examination Leave
1. Employees required to sit for an examination for a Company approved course may be granted paid leave for each day on which the examination is held.
2. Such leave only applies to examination held during working hours. Employees sitting for examinations which are held after office hours shall not be entitled to
examination leave.
3. Employees sitting for examination for a course not sponsored by the Company but which is job related and would be beneficial to the Company may also be granted
paid leave for each examination day subject to Management approval.
Training Leave
All Employees are entitled to take unpaid leave for the purpose of training and developing knowledge and ability according to the following rules;
a) To benefit labor and social welfare or to raise skill effectiveness of employee.
b) Examination arranged or permitted by a governmental office.
The training including knowledge and ability developments according to (a) must be under a project or program and the period of the project or program must be clearly scheduled and confirmed.
In the case of leave application for training or developing knowledge and ability, employee shall clearly notify reasons in advance with relevant documents (if any) to Company at least seven (7) days before the leave. Company may not allow employee to take the leave in the following cases;
a) In the year of the leave, an employee has been granted permission to take leave for training or developing knowledge and ability not less than thirty (30) days or three (3) times or,
b) Company has expressed that the leave may cause damage or affect Company’s business.
Sterilization Leave
Employees are entitled to take sterilization leave, with certification proof from a doctor, with pay at the period scheduled by a doctor.
Military Leave
Male employee can take military leave if they are officially called up for examining, military training, or military exercises under Military Services Law. The employee will be paid during the military leave, but not exceeding 60 days.
Business Leave
An employee who requires to take business leave must submit in advance a written request which must be approved by Company before the leave is taken.
The paid business leave will be allowed only when the employee have no balance of vacation and upon a reasonable reason.
