mills such as the Romer® Series II mill or the RAS mill (Romer® Labs. Inc., MO), where sample grinding and continuous sub-sampling are done in parallel, thus providing
a good profile of the total sample. The sample preparation error, which accounts for to up
to 9% of the total variability of a test procedure, can further be reduced by increasing the
sub-sample size and grinding into finer particles.
