Dechlorinated tap water was used in present study and the
quality was monitored during the experiment. Dissolved oxygen
was about 6.0–7.5 mg/L. The pH ranged from 6.9 to 7.4.
Conductivity, total chlorine and TOC was 196–268 lS/cm,
0.1–0.4 mg/L and 2.86–4.75 mg/L, respectively. Mean NO3–N
concentration in dechlorinated tap water was 2.392 mg/L (range,
2.21–2.42 mg/L). The mean experimental NO3–N concentrations
were 10.23 mg/L (range, 9.68–10.47 mg/L), 51.24 mg/L (range,
49.96–52.32 mg/L) and 101.28 mg/L (range, 99.82–102.31 mg/L).
