The Arcader slot is a modern take on a retro looking theme which can only be described as a mix of the traditional fruit machine and an old style Space Invaders mixed into one. This all may sound a little outdated, but this is a very original and modern take on both of those ideas, this slot being one of the most unique and enjoyable I have come across recently.
This game, by software house Thunderkick, is set against the backdrop of a planet scene, with meteors falling slowly through the dark sky and planets drifting in and out of view. The reels of the slot shoot out of the ground of the planet, standing proudly in the middle of the screen. Each reel is made up of a huge number of small pixels and these pixels change colour to show the symbols, each symbol being a bright splash of colour. The symbols are those seen traditionally on classic slots such as the cherry, the bell and the sevens, although you’ll never have seen them pixelated like this before. The accompanying sound at the slot is excellent, a retro electronic soundtrack plays all the time and a female, slightly robotic voice welcomes each win.
