There are some murals located on the interior wall which illustrate the tales of Etadagga in Buddhism relating to most distinguished disciples, 10 Upasaka and Upasika who were male and female devotees. Murals on the doors and windows, tell the story of Mahavong, which was the history of Buddhism and the Singhalese King in Ceylon. The murals, on the secondary beam placed below the main roof tell about the heaven at Tavatimsa and battle between Thevada and Asura. There are many other murals on all the walls of the assembly hall which tell stories and sagas about Buddhism.
