The company has implemented a new system where Visitors and New Employees are more easily recognized in the interest of their safety and the safety of the other employees in the company.
Visitors does not know the regular company work procedures and what to watch out for, so it is essential that our regular staff can see that the person/persons are visitors so extra care can betaken around them to prevent them from any harm during the visit. Visitors will therefore be wearing Orange colored Hard Hats during their guided tour around the company.
New employees might already have the competency in a specific field but will not know the full operations of the company and will not be aware of all the dangers involved in all activities. It is therefore essential that everybody working around the new employees are aware of their limited experience and knowledge of dangers and our common safety & work procedures, so guidance can be given to them and so that the employees can be properly supervised.
New Employees will be issued with tags for the coveralls stating that they are “New Employee”, and will also be issued with a green Hard Hat showing clearing that this is a “New Employee”.
Once an employee has completed a 6 month working period within the company the status will be changed from “New Employee” to the same status as all other employees and the tags on the coverall will be removed and the green Hard Hat will be changed out to a white Hard Hat.
