I have questions about “we pay the facilitation fee to push the process faster due to the commodity are live birds.”
For BKK custom office, what the time difference for custom clearance when we do and we don’t pay the facilitation fee?
For CITES office, do you need to apply the import CITES in advance against the export CITES? Or just need to check and verify the export CITES by the CITES office when importation? What the time difference for CITES application or verification when we do and we don’t pay the facilitation fee?
For DLD office (Department of Livestock Development), what the time difference for veterinary inspection when we do and we don’t pay the facilitation fee?
In Taiwan, if papers correct and complying with the rules, shpt of live plants or live animals will get released in 3~4 hours upon arrival at the very latest from custom office and mandatory authorities. No need of any extra charges because all agencies are well aware that the commodity is “LIVE” and can’t afford any delay.
So it’s unbelievable to us that all concerned government agencies in Thailand request the extra charges to speed up the clearance process for same consignment and based on head counts.
It looks like an open and unscrupulous demand for bribes already.
I know Eagles Thailand handled some zoo projects before and believe the admin fee probably available due to these animals are special genera.
But for common AVI movements, supposed the government has SOP whatever inbound or outbound.
Pls recheck with all agencies again to discuss these extra charges. Will they hold up our shpts if we don’t pay the admin fees?
