In Thailand, we have three seasons: winter, summer, and rainy season. Winter or cold season is from November to February. Summer or hot season is from February to May. Monsoon or rainy season is from May to October. In my opinion, I think Thailand has only one season that is summer because the weather is usually warm or hot all year. In winter, the north of Thailand is a place that is very popular for Thai tourists and foreign tourists. They usually go up the hill to feel the winter winds and see the view of foggy in the morning. Most of them will set up a tent for bed in outdoor and light the bonfire to keep warm. In summer, this is a season that will be appropriate to go to the sea with your family or friends. It has many event and activities in this season such as, Songkran festival. Songkran festival is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year's Day from 13 to 15 April. Songkran Festival is traditionally a time to visit and pay respects to elders and throwing of water upon others. On Songkran day, city officials will close off many sections of the road thoroughfares for the festival. In rainy season, this is a favorite season of farmers because all crops will grow. But for me, I do not like this season because when it rains, I always have a cold.
