Polysaccharides represent a structurally diverse class of
biological macromolecules with a wide-range of physicochemical
properties. The major bioactive Ganoderma polysaccharides
species are b-1-3 and b-1-6-D glucans. The
structure is b-1-3 D-glucopyronan with 1–15 units of b-1-
6 monoglucosyl side chains.
