The research scope incorporates 4 groups 2 community
to clearly identify the differences between the forms and production management of communities around Si Satchanalai Historical Park, Sukhothai Province, the researcher aimed (during the initial phase of this work) to understand if and was possible to apply the current local design processes and see how these can develop into future silver jewellery production and practices. This initial survey was supposed to benefit all the communities (or groups in Thailand who work with silver jewellery), which could apply then the identified findings to improve their production, and make their jewellery products unique and also internationally known. Furthermore, the final findings of this research project could be beneficial to the Thai Ministry of Industry because they can provide fundamental information for promoting (nationally and internationally) and developing the manufacturing and sales of local Thai products. Finally, this research project will also advance the knowledge relating to local art and intangible cultural heritage of Thai people.
