Impact and Influence
The intention to persuade, convince, influence, or impress others, in order to get them to support the speaker’s agenda; or the desire to have a specific impact or effect on others. The ability to clearly articulate ideas to an audience (e.g., executives, managers, other employees, or customers). This includes demonstrating a clear understanding of the needs and preferences of an audience and the objectives of the presentation; the ability to develop prepared material so that it is clearly understood by the audience. The ability to speak clearly and concisely with customers, co-workers, supervisors, or other employees, in one-on-one or small group setting. This includes the ability to utilize correct grammar and appropriate work usage and to adapt the message to the level of the listener.
