In Container 1 of the mobile recycling plant, CRT dismantling involved the following steps (SC Fig. S6). Scrap glass containing lead (Pb) was lifted into a drum mixer (cleaning section) and washed with water for 25 min. Then, as the mixer reversed, the glass and cleaning water could be poured out and screened for glass cleaning. Waste PWBs were recycled in Container 2 with the combined processes of crushing, magnetic separation, grinding, air separation, sieving through a screen, and electrostatic separation (SC Fig. S7). The equipment, including the crusher and conveyor, were shared between the waste PWB and FL recycling processes. Metal and glass can be extracted via crushing, transportation, and sieving (SC Fig. S8).
