Revan magic to change himself into a baby boy. He placed himself in a basket close to the stream where the magician's daughter came drink. The girl was tricked. She fell in love with the baby boy and took him home with her. She did not know her new baby boy was really, Raven. The new baby would cry and cry. No matter what toy they brought him he was unhappy. He wanted only what was in the box. Finally the magician gave in. He took out the Sun to let the new baby play with it. Raven had won he had the Sun Quickly changing back into his bird shape, Raven flew up the chimney of the house, holding the Sun very tightly. The magician was very angry and made the flames of his fire leap up to burn Raven. Raven got away from the flames, but they turned his white coat of feathers to black. Since then all ravens have been black. The magician did not give up quickly. Using his magic, he flew after Raven. Raven got soon tired because the Sun was heavy, and the magician was getting closer. To make his load lighter Raven broke off a few pieces of the Sun. He threw them into the sky where they became the stars. Once more the magician was catching up with him.
