Leadership is one of the key factors identified in the
nursing profession (Kean et al. 2011). Nurse managers
are expected to provide professional leadership in
nursing and contribute broadly to the senior leadership
services in their organisation (Eneh et al. 2012).
It is important that the organisation is committed to
developing and maintaining supportive leadership
development activities (Shekleton et al. 2010). How
