2.2. Spectrophotometric and Fournier transformation infrared
analysis
The content of Al was measured using an ultravioletevisible
absorption spectrophotometer (Unicam UV500, Thermo Electron
Corporation), and chromazurol S was used as chromogenic reagent.
An aliquot of leaching solution (2 mL) was added into a 50 mL
volumetric flask, followed by 2 mL 0.1% CAS and acetic acid/sodium
acetate buffer solution at pH 5.5. The addition of distilled water
followed, to give a total volume of 50 mL. After 5 min chromogenic
reaction, the absorbance of prepared solution was determined, and
the content of Al was calculated based on the standard curve of
Al3þ. Moreover, the separated PVC plastic was determined by
Fournier transformation infrared analysis using a Nicolet Avatar
360 Fournier transformation infrared spectrometer (Nicolet Magua
Corporation, USA) in the wave region between 4000 and 400 cm1,
resolution 4 cm1.
