In the work reported here additional refinements
in the test methods were made. Each test was
evaluated from the viewpoints of compliance with
the mathematical assumptions instrumentation
suitability to the materials, and the variability of
the results. A study of the correlation of the results
from the tensile, compressive, torsional, transverse,
and impact tests was also made to check the over-all
performance of each test and to further explain the
behavior of the cermets.
