Essential oils form plant 4 species of thyme and origanum caused significantly the highest acaricidal
effects, causing high adult mite mortalities at the lower concentrations
than were observed with the mint and lavender essential oils.
Adult viability was totally affected by thyme, origanum, mint and
lavender oils at the concentrations of 5.0, 7.5, 10.0 and 15.0gml−1
air, respectively. No adult mortality was observed in control treatment
(DMSO only).
