(Table 2). Interestingly, the utilization of
mineral fertilizers led to a significant decrease of OC and N contents, and the utilization of vermicompost without earthworm to significant decrease of N content.The presence of earthworms led to a decrease of the soil OC content in the treatments with organic amendments but no
difference was observed with mineral fertilization. Earthworm activity also led to a decrease of the nitrogen content in soils amended with compost, whereas the differences were not significant
for the vermicompost and mineral fertilization treatments. No difference in OC/N ratio was noticed between the different treatments, except for the mineral treatments which had a lower OC/N ratio than the organic fertilization treatments, with and without earthworms.
