The objective of this study was to extract antioxidant phenolic
compounds from SCG. Solid–liquid extractions were performed
using methanol as solvent, due to its wide use in different processes, and recognized efficiency for phenolic compounds extraction from plant materials. Additionally, aqueous methanol has a high boiling point, and is an economical solvent.methanol concentrations, solvent/solid ratios, and extraction times were studied, and the effect of these operational variables on the extraction results was verified. Moreover, the conditions able toproduce a phenolic rich extract with high antioxidant activity were
established
